Had a great stay at Vis A Vis! Perfectly located by the main square, the breakfast was incredible with a stunning view. The staff really made us feel welcome, though check-in across the street was a bit confusing.

Location and service steal the show

Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee from the Illy machine is a delight. The attentive staff at the Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta made our mornings special with their friendly smiles and exemplary service during breakfast.

A minor inconvenience was the use of a physical key instead of a keycard, indicating some technology hiccups that could be improved.

the room was so small and cell-like, with this ancient decor, made me feel like I was in a prison. And don’t even get me started on the coffee machine that made some horrible brew. I thought at least I would get an upgrade for enduring such nonsense, but alas, nothing. I just couldn't give a good review.

Enjoyed a beautiful stay with remarkable views of the Adriatic. The hotel's location is unbeatable—steps away from local attractions and a variety of dining options. Don't miss breakfast at Harry’s Bar. the service was top-notch. Pro tip, check the elevator before loading up your luggage!

Fabulous property with super friendly staff! The central location is perfect, just steps from the main square and cruise terminal. Clean rooms and excellent dining options nearby add to the charm!

The room's decor was bleak with dark gray paint, lacking proper lighting and a view, leading to a somewhat gloomy atmosphere. Limited wardrobe space due to an awkward design, no dressing table mirrors for grooming, and a poorly designed shower made for an inconvenient experience. Plumbing issues like a malfunctioning sink plug and toilet that overflowed upon flushing didn't contribute to comfort. Additionally, the absence of blinds in the bathroom allowed unwanted light exposure at night.

The location was spot on, right near the main square. We enjoyed easy access to all the attractions, and a visit to the Old Port of Trieste was a highlight. My son's family joined us, and we made some great memories exploring the area together.

My wife says that the room could use more soundproofing.
